Finally: Relevant Leadership from the Church?

pic from wiki

I gave up going to church as soon as my parents allowed me to stop going.  That was at a young age.  Fortunately it limited my exposure to an organization I've considered a den of hypocrisy and misdeeds.  The deal with the kids etc... Just seemed hopeless.  As if all their problems weren't bad enough the church has been AWOL regarding their pretended role as moral leaders.  While the "war on terror" (whatever that means) raged on We The People the church remained silent as far as I could tell.  I'd ask those I knew that were churchgoers - "Hey - did your priest say anything about stopping torture or extrajudicial killings?" Usually my acquaintance would just roll their eyes as I suddenly seemed to have taken on the role of the preacher - instead of their preacher doing his job.  It gets old after a while.  Maybe the church people will follow this new leadership and start doing their part so the rest of us can take a break for awhile.

But now the pope is coming out against the mafia - and I say that is a great move.  I don't care much what the Pope's motive is - the mafia is there to screw everybody who isn't part of their racket.  The pope is doing good to point out their criminality and generally evil business.

For anyone, including the pope, to speak the truth - a problem arises.  Survival.

I hope nothing happens to this guy - so far I like what I hear.  His bravery will become contagious as other leaders join in.  Boldness and bravery can spread like wildfire.

""Those who in their lives follow this path of evil, as mafiosi do, are not in communion with God. They are excommunicated," Pope Francis said in impromptu comments at a mass before tens of thousands of people.
He told the crowd: "This evil must be fought against, it must be pushed aside. We must say no to it."
He branded the 'Ndrangheta as the "adoration of evil and contempt of the common good" and said the Church would exert its full force in efforts to combat organised crime."

If Napolean was right when he said "Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich"
it may be beneficial to the fat cats to pay attention to the pope.  As his power pullulates in the population - the masses can become emboldened to get busy getting criminals under control - even if it gets in the way of business and making money.

  1. Pope Francis: Gross Failure For Lack Of Anti-Semitism

Jack: Pope Frank is purest puke, don't doubt--aside fm being Jesuit, for which he's going to heck, just for that alone, did u know he's heavily involved in child-molesting fm his time as Archbishop of Buenos Aires: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/41755_Pope_Franciss_Deafening_Silence_on_Argentine_Sex_Abuse_Cases.

Pope Frank also recently added penalties for leaking info about this absolutely pandemic child abuse and homosexuality of these scum at the Vatican. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/pope-overhauls-vatican-laws-to-criminalize-leaks-sex-abuse

Jack: u can tell Pope Francis and Vatican are purest puke as they're so friendly to Jews, murderers of truth and Christ.

Don't forget, Jack: the very meaning and purpose of Christianity is anti-Semitism--anti-lies, all in spirit of worship of TRUTH TRUTH TRUTH (Christ--see Gosp. JOHN 14:6) above all else, truth the only way to Godly happiness.

Thus it's truth vs. lies, Jews foremost, unified, organized, connected, and dedicated LIARS, sons of their father, satan, the devil (Gosp. JOHN 8:44).

No wonder Jews are leaders of organized crime, masterminds of US Federal Reserve Bank COUNTERFEITING by which they've bought EVERYTHING and everybody, practically.

Thank you for that - I will check out both links now.

Oh...I almost forgot....Napolean supposedly also said:
"Kiss the feet of the Pope as long as his hands are tied..."

    hahaha

So... I read this at one of your links:
"“He has been totally silent,” said Ernesto Moreau, a member of Argentina’s U.N.-affiliated Permanent Assembly for Human Rights and a lawyer who has represented victims in a clergy sexual-abuse case. Victims asked to meet with Bergoglio but were turned down, Moreau said. “In that regard, Bergoglio was no different from most of the other bishops in Argentina, or the Vatican itself.”

The Catholic Church has paid out at least $2 billion in the United States alone to settle abuse claims, according to monitoring groups. In many Latin American countries, though, the scope of crimes has only begun to surface, and in Argentina, no victims have received restitution in public settlements, rights groups and lawyers said."

One wonders if making public proclamations about the mafia is simply a red herring to keep public opinion distracted while the same old game goes on?
